The fashion industry has a massive waste problem. And it starts long before the closet.

About half of all clothing produced is never worn. A large portion ends up unused in the trash – often in gigantic landfills in countries that already live under difficult conditions. At the same time, less than half of worn clothing is even collected for recycling or reuse. And of these leftovers, just 1% is recycled into new clothing.

A system that doesn't work.

Recycling is still in its infancy. Technology, infrastructure, and will are lacking. Meanwhile, Europe exports tons of used textiles to Africa, Asia, and South America. Mountains of clothing are being created there – literally. In the Ghanaian capital, Accra, a 20-meter-high hill of discarded fashion piles up. In the Chilean Atacama Desert, there are "fashion graveyards." Clothes that no one wanted. Clothes that destroy the environment.

Why? Because we produce too much.

The most important measure against this waste madness is simple: Produce less. Throw away less. Wear more. Clothes that last longer also mean less pollution on the other side of the world.

BREDDY'S represents precisely this approach. Our products are durable, robust, and fairly manufactured. We focus on quality over quantity – and make clothes that last.

Because every decision counts.

How we treat our clothing has a direct impact on people and the environment. Let's consume more consciously, repair, and swap instead of throwing away. Only then can fashion find its place in a sustainable future.

Less is more.
