TENCEL™ is a textile fiber made from sustainably certified wood, produced by the Austrian company Lenzing AG. The fiber is produced in a closed-loop process: 99% of solvents and water are recovered, and water consumption is up to 95% lower compared to conventional cotton. TENCEL™ is breathable, temperature-regulating, skin-friendly, and completely biodegradable. BREDDY'S develops its own TENCEL™ fabrics in close collaboration with producers – tailored for everyday practicality, shape retention, and comfort.

BIOS+ consists of 45% castor, 42% polyamide & 3% EA Lycra, impresses with its adaptability, robustness and also helps to minimise your own CO2 footprint. BIOS+ has quick-drying, antibacterial, water-, dirt- and wind-repellent and non-iron properties. With their smooth surface, BIOS+ styles can be used universally and are suitable for every eventuality - from weddings to mountain tours.

The materials adapt to the body's shape without stretching or deforming – even in areas like the waistband, knees, or crotch, which are often the first to wear out with conventional fabrics. TENCEL™ adapts to body temperature, allowing the clothing to be worn across a wide temperature range without feeling too hot or too cold. The castor oil material has a dry feel, slight elasticity, and feels like a blend of functional outdoor fabric and everyday textile – without that plasticky feel. Both materials retain their color and shape even after numerous washes.

Durability at BREDDY'S arises from the interplay of material selection, weave, and cut. The materials used – TENCEL™ and castor biopolymer – are naturally durable and retain their shape. The specific combination of weave and fiber composition reduces abrasion in high-wear areas. This is complemented by a timeless design, free from seasonal trends, ensuring the clothing is wearable for years to come. Each piece undergoes two to three prototype rounds before going into production.

Yes. The entire collection is based on plant-based materials – TENCEL™ from wood and castor biopolymer from vegetable oil. No conventional synthetic fibers such as polyester or nylon are used. This means: no microplastics are released during washing, and no fossil raw materials are used in the fiber.

Yes. All products are 100% vegan – no animal materials such as wool, leather, silk, or down are used. BREDDY'S is PETA-Approved Vegan certified.

The special thing about castor oil is the way it is cultivated and the plant's natural robustness. It grows on barren soils that do not compete with food crops or forest areas and requires significantly less water during the growth phase than conventional natural raw materials. In addition, pesticides and chemicals are also completely avoided during the growth phase.

Washing program: 30°C, gentle cycle, inside out. Drying: air dry, do not tumble dry. Ironing: at a low temperature or with steam. Do not bleach. Ironing is not strictly necessary – the fabric drapes smoothly without ironing. With proper care, the garment will retain its shape even after many washes.

BREDDY'S uses exclusively plastic-free paper packaging. There are no plastic bags or plastic films. The packaging is recyclable and kept to an absolute minimum.

Three key differences: First, material development – ​​BREDDY'S develops its own fabrics based on TENCEL™ and castor biopolymer, instead of relying on standard eco-textiles. Second, the production strategy – exclusively in Europe, personal partnerships, small batches, no outsourcing to unknown supply chains. Third, the focus on durability as the primary sustainability tool: A product that lasts five years has a better environmental footprint than three sustainably produced products, each replaced after one year.

BREDDY'S has been awarded the TRIGOS Sustainability Prize (Austria's most prestigious prize for responsible business practices), the ISPO Munich BrandNew Award (an international award for innovative sports brands), and the Energy Globe Award (an international award for sustainable projects). BREDDY'S also holds PETA-Approved Vegan certification.

Small production runs are a conscious decision against overproduction. BREDDY'S produces according to demand – not for stockpiling. This means less material waste, less capital tied up in unsold inventory, and a direct feedback loop between demand and production. If a product sells out, it can be reproduced.

We do not offer telephone orders, but you can make an appointment via our website to try on our products in person.

We usually pack and dispatch your order by 2.00 pm on the next working day. If your order is already on its way, we can no longer change or cancel it. However, you have a 100-day right of return and we also offer a free exchange of your order.

BREDDY'S produces in small batches and sustainably, based on demand. If a product is sold out, it will be restocked. The product page indicates whether an item is in stock or being restocked.

For products in stock: Shipping usually takes place by 2 PM the next business day. Delivery within 3–5 business days. After shipment, you will receive a confirmation email with a tracking ID.

Shipping to Austria and Germany is free. For all other countries, shipping costs are €15.10.
